COVID Protocols - The health and safety of all of us is our top priority.

In order to stay safe, we are:

  • Maximizing safety measures for all residents and staff by wearing masks, washing hands frequently, conducting COVID-19 per CDC and CMS recommendations, and closely adhering to COVID-19 infection prevention protocols.
  • We are using our wealth of senior-care experience and trusted guidance from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to gain insights on how seniors experience COVID-19 recovery. In addition, we are following CDC recommendations to keep our community informed of the many impacts to seniors over the last 2+ years.
  • Ensuring an excellent quality of life for all residents with our unbendable resident-to-staff ratio.
  • As COVID-19 variants emerge and cases rise again, according to the CDC, vaccines continue to reduce a person’s risk of contracting COVID-19 and help protect against severe illness. That is why Canal View is continuing to strongly encourage employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

At Canal View, we are unconditionally committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety for our residents, staff, and community as directed by the Centers for Disease Control and our state Departments of Health. We continue to monitor and react to developments regarding the coronavirus and the COVID-19 vaccine. We will provide regular updates on this page as necessary.

As the COVID-19 pandemic shifts and changes, so do our policies. You can rest assured that we will continue to do our very best to combat the spread of COVID-19.
